My fishing entries for the Japan Map are shown below. The location column (Full Quest) is for Quest Challenges, (Diamond) is for Diamond-level fish. Full Quest means you can go to that location and complete the challenge. If a Diamond is shown in the location column that means you can potentially land a Diamond at that location. Good Luck.

Rods, reels, and lines: The only impact they make is when you land a large fish and your score. Using a lighter setup increases your score. Too light of a setup may snap your line; If you catch a larger fish on a smaller line, reduce the drag and try to tire the fish out - good luck.
