This is one of my outings for bird Photography.  Knowing that each outing may or may not bring a nice photo, but each outing will always bring enjoyment.

The Yellow-rumped Warbler (Setophaga coronata) is a delightful bird that graces North America with its presence. Birders affectionately refer to this species as “butter-butt” due to its eye-catching and diagnostic field mark: a bright yellow rump that stands out throughout the year. Here are some interesting facts about this charming warbler:

  • You can spot Yellow-rumped Warblers in open woodlands, second-growth areas, scrub, thickets, parks, and gardens.
  • They are abundant migrants in Missouri and may also be seen during winter
